Should there be a lifetime maximum number of bullets that anyone can purchase?

Should there be a lifetime maximum number of bullets that anyone can purchase?

Yes, says an anonymous person!

Clearly most of our “gun problems” stem from the fact that people can just waltz into a store and purchase ammunition any time they want, as much as they want.

So, given that:

We’ll assume for the sake of this argument there are one thousand different cartridge sizes.
a person can shoot one round per second, and during an 18-hour shooting outing that would equate to 64,800 rounds, and

Shooting every day in a year would require 23,652,000 rounds, and

The average lifespan of a U.S. person is 76.33 years

Then there is no sane reason why a person would need any more than ( 1,000 x 23,652,000 x 76.33) 1,805,357,160,000 bullets a person should be able to purchase during their lifetime!

I am certain we will hear from MAGA types who will say, “I shoot 19 hours a day! You’re infringing on my rights!” To them I say, “think of the children!”
