I did a survey a few months ago to a bunch of shooters on my email list asking a bunch of different questions like, "How often do you do live fire training?", "When doing live fire?", "Where do you train?", and "How often do you do dry fire practice?".

The numbers where pretty surprising when it came to Dry Fire Training!

37.6% did dry fire practice 1-3 times a month
31.7% did dry fire practice 1-3 times a week
18.8% NEVER do dry fire practice
11.7% did dry fire practice 1-3 times a year

You should be doing dry fire training AT LEAST 10 times a month or more. The ONLY time I do not do daily dry fire training, is if I'm traveling and can't bring my SIRT pistol with me.

Otherwise I do 5-10 minutes of training a day.

What about you? What percentage do you fall into?

I believe this is the most overlooked and underutilized training. It's SO easy to do, but we don't make the time to get it done each day.

What has really helped me out, is establishing a daily routine.

Get up in the morning

10 minutes of meditation
30-45 minute workout
5-10 minutes of dry fire training
Eat breakfast
Go to work

I like getting everything done first thing in the morning, so I don't have to worry about fitting it in at the end of the day.

Now this is just me, you have to figure out your own routine and what's going to work for you.

But getting organized with your day is going to make a HUGE difference in the amount and quality of your training.
