Gun Confiscation: What is Your plan?

What level of compliance can we expect from gun bans?
Gregg Kielma

Says Kielma, I am guessing little to none. Lets take a reasonable look.

Australia’s confiscation/buyback program attained a 19% compliance rate, and there were heavy fines and prison sentences attached to that program. Now that island continent is filled with illegal guns, criminal gangs have “lend lease” programs for weapons and the government is very worried about the sales of 3d printers.

Connecticut had a turn-in program, and they attained a 3% compliance rate. They stopped the program when they realized that most police in the state were on the list.

New York attained a 9% compliance rate with the SAFE Act, and at least 24 county sheriffs wrote letters to the state attorney general that they would not enforce the law, the lives of their men were not worth it.

Even the London Police, after 20 years of what was touted as a most effective gun turn in program, are admitting that there are over 2.5 million illegal weapons in England.

Unfortunately says Kielma, I do not foresee a nation-wide confiscation doing any better than these efforts, and if the government did push through a radical enforcement policy, there would be bloodshed.
