Give Up Your Firearms for This Experiment. Would You? LOLOL
By Gregory Kielma
As a gun owner, would you be open to an experiment in which all guns are confiscated and the 2nd Amendment is scrapped for a year to see if gun control works? If it doesn’t, you get your guns back.

Sure, the government will give you back your firearms when the "experiment" is over. Yes they will. Our government never lies. Trust them. Just ask Obama, Biden and Harris. We can trust them all...LOLOLOL
Please allow me to propose an alternate experiment.
Keep the 2nd (at least for now and for the purpose of the experiment) as well as all existing firearm laws currently on the books and confiscate all the firearms that are in the possession of prohibited persons. Do not know what a prohibited person is? Take a look below.
A “prohibited person” is anyone who:
• Is a felon,
• has been convicted of any crime punishable by more than a year in prison (whether they were ever sentenced to or served a day in prison or not),
• is under indictment for any crime punishable by more than a year in prison,
• is a fugitive,
• is an unlawful user of any controlled substance,
• has been adjudicated as a mental defective,
• has been committed to a mental institution,
• is an illegal alien,
• has a dishonorable discharge from the military,
• has renounced their U.S. citizenship,
• is the subject of a restraining order restraining the person from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner or the child of an intimate partner, or
• who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.
Confiscate each and every firearm from those folks, somehow ensure that they do not get any more (oh, I don’t know, how about arresting them for the crime of being in possession and prosecute them), and then once you’ve taken (and kept) firearms out of the hands of people who are currently prohibited by law from having any firearms, start that one year countdown.
At the end of the year (or two, or five) of no prohibited people illegally possessing ANY firearms, let’s then take a close look at crime and murder statistics. If they, as I suspect, drop precipitously, then you and I would both have to conclude that it was not lawful owners of firearms that were responsible for the crime, carnage and mayhem of which some people suspect and accuse them.
