Have you ever been carrying a weapon legally and been chastised and reprimanded by someone?

Say Gregg Kielma, this is a comment and observation from a friend in law enforcement, a sheriff deputy. This in my opinion is what’s wrong with the anti-gun establishment. What are your thoughts?
I was a deputy sheriff working in the Violent Crimes Unit. I was also a member of the swat team and the bomb squad. I started taking college classes at the community college that was literally right across the street from the sheriff’s office. On the first day of class every semester, I would introduce myself to the professor. This one class, I met with the teacher at the end of the first day. I told her of all the reasons my pager could go off and why I could not ignore it if it did. I was dressed in a polo shirt with a sheriff star on it and khaki pants. I had a gun, badge, and pair of handcuffs on my belt.
At the end of my introduction, the instructor looked at my gun and asked if I got permission to bring a gun on campus. I asked if she was listening to anything I’d said. She said she was, but that she was pretty sure I was not supposed to bring a gun on campus without permission. I assured her I had all the permissions I needed. I dropped her class the next day.
Some claim that I did not like having my authority questioned. Nothing could be further from the truth. This was not a power play on my part. Had I wished to do battle over this I could have stayed in the class and forced her to enforce the campus policy. The question posed was “Have you ever been carrying a weapon legally and been chastised and reprimanded by someone?” This was my experience.
