Will H.R. 5087 (Weapons Ban) pass? If it can, what can we do to repeal it? Will this violate the Second Amendment?
Will H.R. 5087 (Weapons Ban) pass? If it can, what can we do to repeal it? Will this violate the Second Amendment?
The Three Questions - The Answers Are:
1. Passed through the House, yes; through the Senate - no. Net effect - NO. Therefore Biden will never see the bill.
2. There will be no need to repeal that which won’t become law. In the off chance it does, then we simply sue until SCOTUS overturns it. Or we wait until the election in 2024 when we again have a Republican majority in Congress and the White House, and simply repeal the act the same way it got passed.
3. Yes, it violates the 2nd, and the language in both the Heller and Bruen cases makes it crystal clear it will be overturned.
