Where is the outrage over the Maryland shooting? There are no politicians screaming about gun control. No teenagers, who have no idea what they are talking about, are demanding new gun legislation.

Here we have a curious mix of facts pertaining to the case. We have a 24-year-old person who:

• Has federal employees for parents (NASA - father and FDA-mother);
• The police was called to the Katz home over 20 times;
• His mother called the police on him for "the volume of the television and his overall lack of respect toward her and his grandmother" when he was 13.
• Elizabeth Katz tried kicking him out of the house on at least two occasions when he was just a kid, including once on Mother’s Day in 2007 (12 years old).
• His father opposed the prescription of antidepressants and anti-schizophrenia medication citing potential side effects; his mother was pushing that.
• Parents had a 10-year spanning divorce battle, and it seems that nobody wanted to take the kid - each side presented arguments why they shouldn’t be the guardian.
• Was basically given up for adoption in his teens - a “3rd-party guardian was appointed”
• David Katz has a long psychiatric record - twice hospitalized in his teens.
• Katz - got his pistols legally. Per Maryland law he submitted his fingerprints, underwent a background check, and passed a firearms safety training course.
• Is Jewish.
• Killed a white and a black man.
• Then killed himself.

It is a far more complex story spinning into some simplistic narrative. Plus, no scary big guns involved - just a regular pistol.
