New York State and CCW Only for The Privileged?

Chuck Schumer a New York resident has a pistol permit. I have personally seen Michael Bloomberg with his bodyguard of at least nine men all over 6 foot 3. He stands at five foot one. Guess how many of his bodyguards carry guns?

If you guess all of them, congratulations, you are right!

New York City is a wonderful place to disappear, courtesy of the automobile-- one may be carried off to a wide variety of places to be disposed of. So, to say that they have a low death rate is not quite true.

Additionally, it has been shown multiple times that the NYPD is very good at concealing crime committed and at underreporting crime. Multiple times I have seen crimes occur that have not been reported and a few times I have intervened, one of which I know for certain was swept under the rug.

So never trust the figures coming out of New York City. And believe me there is plenty of crime-- I have fended off assailants more than once and that was never reported. The police do not want to know about what they would call near-miss incidents.

And as a matter of fact, one time that I was being stalked by muggers I made them think I had a gun and one shouted to the other that I was armed, and they both ran very quickly.

So having lived in the belly of that beast for 16 years, I can tell you that the gun control laws there are a failure, unless of course you're one of those politically connected people who has managed to obtain a carry permit.
