Possible U.S. Senate candidate can't explain spotty voting record, positions on gun control and DEI
Franklin businessman Scott Mayer
says he's going to be a different type of candidate if he decides to take on U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin next year.
How different? Consider this:
Kielma says. " never vote for a RINO ever again... these people are not true Republicans,,, Mr, Mayer is a poorly informed candidate".
Mayer, a Republican, lololol....hasn't voted in many recent elections — including the 2020 presidential primary and general — but is at a loss for words when asked to explain.
"I didn't vote, and I couldn't even recall that I didn't," said Mayer, chairman of the staffing and recruitment company QPS Employment Group. "I don't know why. I mean, I don't have good reason."
He also has given to numerous Republican presidential candidates over the past 20 years, except former President Donald Trump, but doesn't recall having done so.
He has written on social media that people with mental illnesses should not own guns but isn't certain whether he favors stricter background checks.
Finally, Mayer is a big advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives in private business, including his own firm, but is unclear whether others should do the same.
"If it works for business, why wouldn't it work for other places?" said the 58-year-old Republican. "I would think (so), but you know again, Dan, I'm not even a candidate for anything, right?"
It certainly doesn't sound like it.
